This agreement establishes the terms of business between LCDtec BV (the legal owner of www.LCDtec.eu) and its affiliates (together, the "Company") and the Buyer.
1.0 Warranty
1.1 Standard Warranty
Notebook screens purchased from the Company include a standard one (1) year warranty ("Standard Warranty") for Manufacturer Defects. The Standard Warranty commences the date of purchase and expires on the one-year anniversary of the original purchase date. The Standard Warranty covers Manufacturer Defects which include Lines, Premature Backlight Outage, No Image and Bright or Dark Dots (see specific definitions of each Manufacturer Defect below). Cosmetic Defects are covered for a period of five (5) business days from the date of receipt of the product.
The Standard Warranty does not cover damage which results from Buyer misuse or mishandling ("Accidental Damage"). See Screen Damage Protection Plan below for accidental damage coverage
The Buyer must notify the Company via email of any manufacturer Defects or Cosmetic Defects.
1.2 Screen Damage Protection Plan
The Company offers an optional Screen Damage Protection Plan for a period of either one (1) year or two (2) years from the date of purchase of a notebook display should the Buyer elect such coverage and upon payment of the Screen Damage Protection Plan fee.
The Screen Damage Protection Plan covers damage to the respective notebook display as a result of accidental mishandling including cracks, in addition to all manufacturer defects covered by the Standard Warranty. The Screen Damage Protection Plan is restricted to two occurrences per year.
2.0 Returns
Buyer must contact Company via email within the Buyer's respective warranty period (one (1) year for Standard Warranty and one (1) year for Screen Damage Protection Plan) for Manufacturer Defects and within five (5) business days of date of receipt for Cosmetic Defects or DOA. Buyer must request and receive return authorization number (RMA) from the Company via email and write the RMA number on the outside of return product packaging prior to returning item purchased. Returned items without an RMA number will not be accepted. The Buyer has five (5) business days to ship the notebook screen to be returned (must be postmarked within five (5) business days of receipt of RMA number. The RMA number must be written on the outside of the box to be returned). The Company will determine if the warranty claim is covered by the warranty, and if the warranty claim is covered by the warranty, the Company will determine if the Buyer will receive an exchange, refund or store credit. Warranty claims, returns without a return authorization number or returns beyond the Buyer's respective warranty period may not be accepted by the Company.
2.1 Return Shipping
The Company will provide shipping instructions for warranty claims. Email for return shipping instructions. All returned products that are covered under warranty must be shipped on Company's shipping account and will be paid by the Buyer in advance. If the warranty claims of the Buyer are covered by the Buyer's respective warranty as verified by a Company employee after testing of the product by a Company employee, then the Buyer will be reimbursed for the return shipping paid by the Buyer.
Buyer must retain return shipping tracking number for all item returns. The Company is not responsible for loss or damage of return shipping of item(s), if Buyer does not provide proof of return based on return shipping tracking number. Return of product not using the Company's shipping account will be reimbursed only at the Company's discretion.
2.2 Restocking Fee
If the Buyer decides to return a notebook screen for reasons not covered by the Standard Warranty or Screen Damage Protection Plan, or for reasons determined by Company personnel after review of returned product that claim is not covered, the Buyer may be subject to a restocking fee equal to twenty-five percent (25%) of the notebook screen's purchase price. If the Buyer's original notebook screen is dim and the Buyer purchases a replacement screen that does not resolve the issue, the customer may be subject to the restocking fee of twenty-five percent (25%) of the screen purchase price if the screen is returned to Company. All returns must be the exact notebook screen purchased and must include all original manufacturer and serial number labeling.
2.3 Receipt of Incorrect Item Purchased
If Buyer receives the incorrect item that was purchased, the Buyer must request an RMA number via Email within five (5) business days of receipt of item purchased. The notebook screen must be returned in the condition in which it was received including all original manufacturer labels, part number labels, serial numbers, absence of physical damage and the protective film must still be affixed to the surface of the notebook screen. Buyer must not remove the protective film if Buyer has received the incorrect item purchased. If a notebook screen is returned to the Company with scratches due to removal of protective film, the Buyer may be subject to a fee of 17 €.
2.4 Notebook Screen Protection Film
Notebook screens shipped by the Company to the Buyer will have a protective film covering the notebook screen. This protective film is used to prevent scratches until the notebook screen has been a) installed and b) verified in working order. Buyer must not remove this protective film until the notebook screen is installed and confirmed in working order. If the notebook screen is installed and confirmed to be in working order, then Buyer may remove the protective film. Buyer removal of protective film prior to verifying the notebook screen is in working order may subject the Buyer to a fee if the notebook screen needs to be returned and the notebook screen becomes scratched after removal of protective film. If a notebook screen is returned to the Company with scratches due to premature removal of protective film, the Buyer may be subject to a fee of 20 €.

4.0 Shipping
4.1 Fees
Shipping fees vary based on: a) the quanity of notebook screens ordered b) the shipping destination country and c) the shipping method chosen. Click here for a detailed explanation of shipping fees.
4.2 Shipping Delays
The Company is not responsible for shipping delays caused by our shipping partners or any other events beyond the Company's control.

4.4 Please Notes: Shipping Location
Please note that it is the responsibility of the buyer to have products shipped to a location where someone will be available to accept the order (preferably workplace). In the event that someone is not available to accept the package, it is the responsibility of the buyer to either pick up the package from the carrier's depot or arrange for a second delivery attempt for an additional fee of 8.10 €.
4.5 Initial Shipping Charge
Shipping charge includes the cost of the initial delivery attempt. Each subsequent delivery attempt is the customer's responsibility.
5.0 Management and Use of Personal Information

6.0 Risk of Loss, Damage and Transfer of Ownership
The Company is responsible for risk of loss or damage for items purchased by Buyer from the Company prior to the Transfer of Ownership (see definition of Transfer of Ownership below). The Buyer is responsible for risk of loss or damage for items purchased by Buyer from the Company after the Transfer of Ownership.
7.0 Cancellation of Order By Company
Company reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason, including, but not limited to, credit card decline, lack of prompt payment, incorrect personal information, product backlog, discontinued item or if the customer wishes to change or cancellation.
8.0 Copyrights of Trademarks
The Company owns the rights to the company names, company brands, domain names, website content, pictures and logos. Any use must be approved in writing by authorized personnel of the Company. Any use without proper authorization is strictly prohibited.
The Company is not endorsed or affiliated with any of the companies whose trademarks, company names, abbreviations, product names, or logos which may appear on this website. The company names, trademarks, abbreviations, product names and logos are the property of the respective owners.
9.0 Responsibility of Linked Pages
The Company is not responsible for websites who link to LCDtec BV
The Company is not responsible for content or opinions expressed on websites that LCDtec BV may link to.
10.0 Notebook Screen Compatibility
Company may ship Buyer the exact notebook screen ordered or a compatible notebook screen.

11.0 Wholesale Pricing
Customers must be either a reseller of computer equipment or a computer/IT service provider to qualify for wholesale pricing. You may be required to provide proof in addition to your VAT identification number.
12.0 Definitions
Accidental Damage: Any damage caused by misuse or mishandling after the Transfer of Ownership to the Buyer.
Bright or Dark Dots: A dot on a notebook screen which can be seen as a bright (white, red, green or blue) dot or a dark dot. The acceptable amount of Bright or Dark Dots is two (2) per notebook screen. A notebook screen may be returned with three (3) Bright or Dark Dots within the Buyer's respective warranty period. Refunds or exchanges are based on the Company's discretion.

Buyer: The party purchasing goods from the Company.
Compatible: Having same qualities including size and resolution, and will function in the Buyer's intended notebook model.
Cosmetic Defects: A physical defect that does not cause any problems with the operation of the product and not caused by Accidental Damage. Buyer must notify Company via email within five (5) business days of the date of Receipt of item purchased if item purchased has Cosmetic Defects.
Date of Purchase: The date the Company receives ordering instructions from the Buyer.
Date of Receipt: The date the Buyer receives items ordered as verified bu the Company's shipping partner.
DOA: A notebook screen that does not illuminate or display an image when the notebook screen purchased from the Company is first installed. Buyer must notify Company via email within five (5) business days of receipt of item purchased if item purchased is DOA.
Lines: A notebook screen defect whereby a notebook screen displays vertical or horizontal lines and it is not caused by a defect or damage to the notebook's internal parts such as the video card or cable and not caused by Accidental Damage.
Manufacturer Defect: A defect that occurs within the Buyer's Standard Warranty period or Buyer's Screen Damage Protection Plan period and includes: Bright or Dark Dots, Lines, No Image and Premature Backlight Outage. Manufacturer Defects do not include defects caused by Accidental Damage.
No Image: A defect whereby a screen does not display an image and the defect is not caused by another component within the notebook or not caused by Accidental Damage.
Premature Backlight Outage: A defect whereby the backlight of a notebook screen no longer emits light and not caused by the inverter or Accidental Damage.
Transfer of Ownership: The point in time when the ownership of the purchased items passes from the Company to the Buyer. For items purchased from Company and shipped using the Company's shipping account, Transfer of Ownership occurs when the products are delivered and verified by signature of receipt by the Buyer. For items purchased from Company and shipped using the Buyer's shipping account, Transfer of Ownership occurs when the products are picked up by the Buyer's shipping service provider from the Company.
